How to use the BMR & TDEE Calculator

  1. 01
Enter your stats. Pick metric or imperial, then your sex, age, weight, and height.
  2. 02
Choose your activity level. From sedentary to very active — this scales your resting burn up to a daily total.
  3. 03
Read BMR and TDEE. BMR is what you burn at rest; TDEE is your total daily calories burned.

How is it calculated?

BMR uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation: 10·kg + 6.25·cm − 5·age, then +5 for men or −161 for women. TDEE multiplies BMR by an activity factor (1.2 sedentary up to 1.9 very active). TDEE is the number of calories you burn in a typical day and the baseline for any weight goal.
